Privacy Policy

AquaTrack ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account info. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email, display name, and a unique user ID.
• Your aquarium data. Tank metadata, parameter readings, events, photos you attach, dosing-product info, AI-context notes, and tap-water values. Stored encrypted in Firebase Firestore and Storage.
• AI features. When you use the Advisor, Analysis, or Dose Advisor, we send relevant tank data and any photos you attach to Google's Gemini API to generate the response. Photos and prompts are not used to train Google's models when accessed through the API.
• Diagnostic info. Crash reports and basic performance data via Apple and Firebase defaults. Not linked to your identity.

How we use it

Solely to provide the service you signed up for: storing your aquarium history, syncing across your devices, and powering the AI features. We do not sell your data, do not show ads, and do not use it for tracking across apps or websites.

Sharing

We share data only with the cloud providers necessary to run the app: Google (Firebase + Gemini), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store delivery), and Vercel (hosting the API the iOS app calls). Each is bound by their own privacy commitments.

Where your data lives

Account data and aquarium content are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage). Photos are stored in Google Cloud Storage. AI recommendations are generated by Google's Gemini API; the model receives only the parameters needed for the specific recommendation (e.g., recent water-test readings) and is not trained on your data.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all aquarium data, photos, and personal information are deleted within 30 days, except for limited audit logs that we are legally required to retain.

Your controls

You can delete any tank, event, photo, or dosing product from inside the app. To request a full account deletion, email gozlang1@gmail.com and we will purge your Firestore + Storage data within 30 days. Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, and California have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA — to exercise these, email the same address.

Children

AquaTrack is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app and update the "Last updated" date above.
